Photography for Dog-loving Families and Compassionate Brands

Raleigh Pet Photographer - Tara Lynn

Raleigh Pet Photography by Tara Lynn

Hey Ya’ll, I’m Tara

After more than 15 years as a TV news reporter I traded early mornings and breaking news for artistic storytelling of dog-loving families and brands.

As a Raleigh pet photographer, it is my honor to capture love, laughter, and those really real moments that make your heart ache in the best possible way.

I’m a born-and-raised Southern gal and mom of four: three tiny humans and one rescue dog named Boone.

Pets & Families

Savor the magic of the little things, the big loves and the imperfect moments that make the most remarkable memories. From newborns & puppies to senior pets and family moments and all the memories in between.

Polish over Perfection

What makes a photo beautiful isn’t perfection. It’s connection. Dogs and kids just want you close, your love front and center. That’s the story worth preserving.

Love That Lasts

In a messy, chaotic world, love is the anchor. Your family’s laughter, loyalty, and connection are worth celebrating, preserving, and sharing—so joy lasts long after the moment has passed.

Where Pets & People Shine

With years of experience guiding kids and dogs, your session feels effortless and joyful—so authentic connections take center stage.

Life moves fast, and your love deserves to be remembered.

“Tara managed to capture beautiful pictures of our family and even made it fun! She kept our kids and dog engaged the entire session and made it look effortless. I treasure these pictures!”

We’ve Got Plenty of Time ... until we don’t.

In the daily grind of life and work, we often think we have plenty of time to “finally get some really great family photos with the dogs… Until suddenly we don’t. We’ve got you…

Our dogs don’t live forever, but the love they give us can.

Every session is designed with the end in mind:

Let’s create beautiful, archival artwork your family will treasure for years to come. These pieces go beyond decor: they are daily reminders of the joy, laughter, and connection that you share.

Think your dog or your kids might be too wiggly? Don’t worry, I’ve got this. With 15 years of experience guiding families in front of the camera, I know how to handle it all.

From playful puppies to shy pups, silly toddlers to kids who need a little extra trust-building, I’ll make the session feel effortless and fun.

Tara is great! She did an amazing job engaging my kids and making them feel comfortable so that their natural smiles/ personalities really came through in the pictures. I can’t believe how much my dog listened to her and posed (Tara really is a dog whisperer!)”
